- Help orphans and disabled children in Latvia directly
The Founder of The Art of giving Project, Anna Litvak, is originally from Latvia. She has well-established direct contacts with the orphanages in Latvia. Through her organization you can find out directly what are the needs of the children and have a direct impact on their lives. Your may help with providing humanitarian aid such as: medicine, shoes, school supplies, computers, urgent medical needs, beds, clothes, etc., as well as orphanage improvement including repairs and renovations. Furthermore, you can sponsor these children summer camp, something that some of these children rarely get to experience. Lastly, you can help the Art of Giving Project by helping the orphanages mailing the art work from the children to the United States to be auctioned off at our fundraising events. In any case, your support goes a long way in Latvia.
- Be involved with our fundraising events:
Besides attending exciting fundraising event and inviting others, you can be a sponsor at our event. During our last three events, we have had sponsors providing venues to host the fundraising events, donating food and alcohol for the events, artists donating their art work to be auctioned off at the events, companies donating gift baskets as well as other products and services. Furthermore, we always need volunteers to help with the events. Volunteers get to help our cause, meet interesting people and may be, even get school credit. In addition, as the Project is growing, we are always open to new ideas.
- Donate art supplies:
Orphan children in Latvia go to public schools from age 6/7 to age 18. during the school years they usually have an arts and crafts class as part of the school programme. Most of the art work nowhere and, is many times, thrown away. However, many of these children are extremely talented and make beautiful artwork. You can donate art supplies to these children so that their talent and skills continue to grow. Most importantly, by donating your attention to these children you will be able to show them that they are not alone in this world and that people care about what they do and who they grow up to be!
- Spread the word:
Latvia is a very small country with a population of around 2 million people. Most people never even heard about it. But the children have the same needs and aspirations in all countries of the world. Help us spread the world about these amazing talented children and their incredible art work and be part of a better future for the whole world! We are always open to work with other organizations from all parts of the world.
